2025 Contribution Limits
- Under age 50 $23,500

Pre-tax Contributions and Pre-Tax Catch-up Contributions
With pre-tax contributions and pre-tax catch-up contributions, you defer income taxes until you withdraw the assets.
Roth Contributions and Roth Catch-up Contributions
With Roth contributions and Roth catch-up contributions, you pay taxes on the contributions but withdrawals are tax-free.
Qualcomm Match
Qualcomm matches 100% on your first $1,500 of contributions in 2025. Then, Qualcomm macthes 50% on your next $1,500 of contributions in 2025. The maximum match is $11,500 in 2025. Then, Qualcomm macthes 33% on your next $7,500 of contributions in 2025. Then, Qualcomm macthes 10% thereafter up to the IRS limit in 2025.
The maximum match is $6,025 for those under age 50 in 2025. You must contribute $23,500 to receive your full match.
The maximum match is $6,775 for those ages 50-59 or 64+ in 2025. You must contribute $31,000 to receive your full match.
The maximum match is $7,150 for those ages 60-63 in 2025. You must contribute $34,750 to receive your full match.
Qualcomm matches vest 50% after the first year and 100% after the second year.
Qualcomm Match Examples
Employee Contributes 2% of Salary
Based on a $350,000 salary, you contribute 2% of your salary or $7,000. Qualcomm will match your first $1,500 of contributions with $1,500, your next $1,500 with $750 and your next $4,000 of contributions with $1,320, for a total of $3,570.
Employee Contributes 6% of Salary
Based on a $350,000 salary, you contribute 6% of your salary or $21,000. Qualcomm will match your first $1,500 of contributions with $1,500, your next $1,500 with $750, your next $7,500 of contributions with $2,475 and your next $10,500 with $1,050, for a total of $5,775.
Mega Backdoor Roth
In addition to your pre-tax and Roth contributions and the Qualcomm match, you can utilize a Mega Backdoor Roth. You can contribute after-tax to your 401(k) up to the limit of all employee and employer contributions, then convert those after-tax contributions to a Roth IRA or Roth 401(k).
